Today was the big day - the big junk haul away! I spent Friday night emptying the hutch and dresser I was getting rid of...until Baby Num started acting super weird. She was lying down in her litter box, which is not something she does. After determining she seemed to be uncomfortable and straining, I took her to the emergency vet. She's been losing weight although she eats well, but she's at least 16 years old so I was prepared for the worst. After some tests, they sent us home with some antibiotics for a urinary infection and some pain meds. She was also diagnosed as hyperthyroid so she's got meds for that, too. Once they get her thyroid under control, they're going to check her kidneys more. But for now, she's doing good!
The junk guys called a bit before 8 to say they were on the way. I used 1-800-GOT-JUNK and they were super professional and efficient. I ended up having them haul away more than I'd originally planned, but it was worth every penny! I still have a lot of work to do, but it's less daunting with a bunch of stuff gone!
After the the junk guys left, I spent most of the rest of the day shopping for some furniture for some stuff for the pink room. I had originally intended to put my couch and some workout equipment in the room but now I think I'm going to make a workout room in the bedroom I cleaned out and let the pink room just be a zen chill out zone.
I found so many good things today. Michael's was having a great sale so I got a poster frame for my bootleg Harry Styles water poster. I also found a salt lamp and a bunch of decorative fake plants. How sad am I at gardening that I even have to get a fake cactus!
My furniture comes Tuesday, except the dresser so that's exciting! The couch my ass is currently sat on will get a new pink cover and make her debut in the Pink Room.
And That is a newer store to my shopping center. My girlfriend says they call it The Christmas Store up by her although they seem to be rebranding to be more year round. They have a lot of knick knacks and accessories, but they do have some furniture and I found this amazing aqua blue chair for only $99! So the pink room now will have a touch of blue! The good news is that it would also fit in my living room with all the blue sea-themed stuff. I also got a mat for the door.
I'm still pushing through with the diet. Staying on track is just a matter of wanting to lose the weight more than wanting to eat whatever crap you ate to gain the weight! I did make my "lean and green" a Chipotle bowl (no rice) with guac and cheese. I was so buy today, I barely ate my Medifast foods and ended up eating like 3 after dinner (not all at once LOL).
I still have such a long way to go, but I'm hanging in there. Just like the decluttering, I'm doing too good to give up now!
